If you’ve got a VPS package, you always get a free dedicated IP address. However this dedicated IP address cannot be used for your website directly since your control panel is installed on the same IP. Hence you need to add an additional IP address to your VPS package.

Similarly, if your customers website hosted on your Reseller Hosting plan requires a dedicated IP, you’ll need to get an additional IP for your package and assign it to that customer's account.

A dedicated IP allows you to:

• View your website via its IP address (This can be useful when you have changed your domains name servers  recently and want to view your website immediately)

• Set up SSL protection on your website

If you are looking out for a dedicated IP for your VPS hosting, here’s how you get one:

1. Login to your account
   
   
   

2. You will now see a page that lists all purchases made by you on our system

3. Click on the domain name associated with your hosting package

4. Click on "Dedicated IP"
   
   
   

5. You’ll now see the monthly price for dedicated IP for your hosting package

6. Click on "Add Dedicated IP"

7. Click on "Buy Now" to purchase the additional dedicated IP and proceed with the payment page. (The invoice will be added for the remaining tenure of your hosting package and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis)
