Most shared hosting users have little need for a dedicated IP address. However a dedicated IP address does provide certain advantages.

A dedicated IP allows you to:

• Set up SSL protection on your website

• View your website via its IP address (This can be useful when you have changed your domains name servers  recently and want to view your website immediately)

If you are looking at getting a dedicated IP for your shared hosting, here’s how you get one:

1. Login to your account
   
   
   

2. You will now see a page that lists all purchases made by you on our system

3. Click on the domain name associated with your hosting package for which you’re going to buy a Dedicated IP
   
   
   

4. Click on "Dedicated IP"

5. You’ll now see our monthly price for a dedicated IP

6. Click on "Buy Now" to purchase the dedicated IP and proceed with the payment page. (You will pay only for the remaining tenure of your hosting package)
   
   
   

Make the payment and the dedicated IP is all yours. :)
