Posted by on 27 June 2014 03:04 AM

Permissions can be super important when it comes to hosting your website. You can set read, write and execute permissions to your website files. Based on your application requirement, you need to understand as to which of your files need which of these permissions. You can change your file permissions in many ways. Here’s the easiest one:

  1. Login to your Plesk Panel

  2. Click on the Files tab

  3. You’ll now see all the files hosted in your web hosting package

  4. Click on the lock icon to the right of the file for which you’d like to change the permissions

  5. Click on "Change Permissions"

  6. Select "Plesk IIS Worker Process Identity Account(...)" to the left side of your page

  7. You can now set the permissions by checking on the respective boxes  - Read, Write, Modify, Read & Execute, Full Control

  8. Click on OK

That’s it. You’ve just set the new permissions for your files on the server.
