Posted by on 04 October 2021 04:06 PM
Dear Customers,

Starting October 2021, Let's Encrypt has changed the validation of the Let’s Encrypt certificates. Please refer https://letsencrypt.org/docs/certificate-compatibility to know more about this change. Websites are giving the error "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" while accessed from outdated client operating systems, including the following ones:
  • Windows < XP SP3
  • Windows 7 (without the specific root certificates update installed).
  • macOS < 10.12.1
  • iOS < 10
  • Android < 7.1.1 (but >= 2.3.6 will work if served ISRG Root X1 cross-sign)
  • Ubuntu < 16.04
  • Debian < 8

Resolution:
Option:1 Install the latest Operating System in your computer
Option 2: Manually install the  “ISRG Root X1” certificate.
Steps to install the  “ISRG Root X1” certificate:
  1. Remove the expired certs manually:
  • Windows > Run > certmgr.msc
  • Find: "DST Root CA X3"
  • Remove the 3 expired ones
  1. Manually install the new one cert:
