Posted by on 08 April 2014 03:52 PM

For your website to load, you will need to point your domain to your servers by editing your domains DNS records.

DNS records can be managed easily within your BigRock account. Before getting there, ensure that your domains name servers are pointing to BigRock’s default name servers. To check your domains existing name servers, you can do a Whois check.

This article will help you to navigate to the DNS Management interface where you can edit the the DNS entries for your domain. Let’s get started:

  1. Login to your account

  2. You will now see a page with all purchases made by you on our system

  3. Click on the domain name for which you need to change the DNS records

  4. Click on the DNS Management option to the right of this page

  5. Click on "Manage DNS"

  6. Click on "Add A Record" and enter the IP Address provided by your web host. (Note - If your web host has provided you multiple records, add the records one-by-one similarly.)

You can similarly add the other DNS record types.

That’s it. You have just pointed your domain to your hosting package. It could take anywhere between 6-8 hrs for your website to be functional due to DNS Propagation.
