Adding an additional domain to your Multi Domain Linux Hosting
Posted by on 03 April 2014 08:27 PM

This article will help you setup an additional domain or Addon Domain to your Multi Domain Linux Hosting. Let’s get started.

  1. Login to your cPanel

  2. Scroll down to find Domains section

  3. Click on "Addon Domains"

  4. Enter the New Domain Name that you like to add in your Linux Hosting

  5. You can leave FTP Username, Document Root to the default ones or set custom ones

  6. Set a password (This username & password can be used for FTP for the Addon domain)

  7. Click on Add Domain

That’s it. Your new domain is added to the cPanel as an Addon Domain. Click on Go Back to verify this.

Note: For your addon domain to work, you need to point the DNS or name servers of your domain to your Multi Domain Linux Hosting package. After this is done, upload the website to the directory /home/public_html/<addon domain directory> or the custom directory you’ve set in Document root.
