Email Setup on Apple Mail

Setting up your email on Apple Mail is super easy and will not take you more than 5 minutes. So let's do it:

  1. Click on Mail menu

  2. Click on Preferences


  3. Click on the Accounts tab 

  4. Click on the "+" to your bottom left on this window

     
  5. Select Add Other Mail Account... and click on Continue


  6. Enter your Full Name, Email Address and Password

  7. Click on Create


  8. If you get the warning message 'Account must be manually configured', click on Next


  9. Select the Account Type - IMAP or POP (We recommend you to go for "IMAP".  It keeps your emails in sync with the server)

  10. Set the Incoming Mail Server as imap.yourdomain.com (If you want to use POP account type, set the POP server as pop.yourdomain.com)

    Note:
    If you have a Linux Hosting package, Incoming mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com
    If you have a Windows Hosting package, Incoming mail server will be yourdomain.com
  11. Enter your complete email address in Username

  12. Enter your Email Password

  13. Click Next


  14. If you get the 'Verify Certificate' Warning, click on Connect


  15. Set the Outgoing Mail Server as smtp.yourdomain.com

    Note:
    If you have a Linux Hosting package, Outgoing mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com
    If you have a Windows Hosting package, Outgoing mail server will be yourdomain.com 

  16. If you get the 'Verify Certificate' Warning, click on Connect


  17. Go to Advanced Tab.

  18. Set the Port to 143 (If you're using POP, set it to 110)

  19. Set the Authentication to Password



  20. Go to Account Information tab

  21. Click on the dropdown of Outgoing Mail Server



  22. Click on Edit SMTP Server List...



  23. Go to Advanced tab and use custom port - 587

  24. Untick the checkbox Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

  25. Set the Authentication to Password

  26. Click on OK



  27. Close the dialog box. You'll get a pop-up to Save the changes. Click on Save


That's it! You're all good to use your email accounts on your Apple Mail
