Disabling Privacy Protection for your Domain
Posted by on 02 April 2014 08:57 PM

Privacy Protection is a feature in your account to protect your domains visibility of your information publicly over the Whois. This article will help you to disable privacy protection on your domain name.

  1. Login to your account

  2. You will now see a page with all purchases made by you on our system

  3. Click on the domain name for which you want to disable Privacy Protection

  4. In the Domain Registration section, click on "Privacy Protection"

  5. Select "Disable" and click on the button Update Privacy Protection Status

Give it an hour or two for the changes to be updated, post which a Whois check will show that the  domains contact information is visible and not privacy protected.

Note - Certain domain extensions (TLDs) do not support Privacy Protection due to restrictions imposed by the registry. For these domains, the "Privacy Protection" option won't be available in your BigRock account.
