Configuring Document Root

Configuring document root for a website is simply assigning default status to a folder/directory on your hosting control panel. It’s super easy and can be done in less than a minute. Here’s how you can configure Document Root on Plesk.

  1. Login to your Plesk Panel.

  2. Click on ‘Websites & Domains’.

  3. Next to your domain name, click on Hosting Settings.

  4. In the field ‘Document Root’, specify the folder name that you wish to be document root.

  5. Scroll down to click OK.

That’s it. You’ve successfully changed document root for Plesk panel.

Note: Document root cannot be modified on Linux cPanel hosting on Linux cPanel
