Setting up Google apps with your domain

To setup Google apps for email on your domain registered with us, follow these 3 simple steps:


Adding your domain on Google apps:

  1. Login to your Google apps account

  2. Once you have logged into your account, you will see your Admin Console.

  3. Click on Domains, incase you do not see it, click on more controls, Click on Domains

  4. Click on Add a domain or domain alias.

  5. Select the radio button for new domain, enter the domain name.

  6. Click on continue and verify ownership.

  7. On the next page, click on the drop down “Select your domain registrar or provider” and select Other.

  8. Copy the TXT record value.

Adding TXT for verification:

  1. Login to your BigRock account.

  2. You will now see a page with all purchases made by you on our system.

  3. Click on the domain name for which you need to change the DNS records.

  4. Click on the DNS Management option to the right of this page.

  5. Click on "Manage DNS"

  6. Click on TXT record Tab, click on Add TXT record.

  7. Keep the hostname blank, add the ‘value’ and click on Add record.

Adding MX for Email:(refer to the email records below)

  1. Click on MX record tab, click on Add MX record.

  2. Keep HostName blank.

  3. For Value, select the appropriate radio button and enter the value.

  4. Do NOT edit the TTL value.

  5. Enter the MX priority and click on Add Record.

1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
10 ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
10 ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM


Sit tight for 4-6 hours for dns propagation to complete and then go to your google apps account and click on verify.


That’s it. You successfully set-up Google Apps on your domain.
